Allsop Residential has made a strong start to the new year, with its first residential auction of 2019 recording a success rate of 74%, representing 201 lots sold for a total of £54 million at an average price of £270,000. 

The biggest lot on the day was a mid terrace building in Chiswick, London W4. With planning permission for conversion to provide five self-contained flats, it sold for £1.9 million. 

 Other notable sales included: a Grade II* listed manor house in Kington Langley, near Chippenham in Wiltshire – formerly used as a care home, but with potential for conversion to residential or hotel use, it raised £1.12 million; a 0.176 acre site in Uxbridge, Middlesex, with planning permission for four houses sold for £1.005 million; and a vacant mid terrace building in Balham, London SW12, comprising two maisonettes and a studio flat, went for £1.2 million. 

Entries are now being taken for Allsop Residential’s next auction and should be submitted by 5 March. The auction itself will take place at the InterContinental Hotel Park Lane, One Hamilton Place, Mayfair, London W1J 7QY on Thursday 28 March.
